Midway and Sugar Cookies

Lance and I took Monday and Tuesday off work and went to Midway to stay at the Invited Inn Bed and Breakfast. It was absolutely wonderful! We were the only guests there and the owners were so sweet. As soon as we got there they had hot appetizers waiting and showed us all around. The place is so cozy and fun. We also went to some very fun restaurants in Midway and Heber for dinner and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna in our room. We left Wednesday after another great breakfast (of Popeye pancakes!!) and it was a bit hard to come back to the city. That night we got pizza and made sugar cookies with the kids. They are quite artistic...and VERY messy! There was flour and frosting everywhere. It was a whole lot of fun though!

Wine Country!

For our offsite activity (after 2 days of grueling meetings!), we went to Napa Valley to go tour several winerys. We had a driver to take us around to all of them and had the best time! I love the girls I work with and it really is a shame we all work in different sites! We went to the Culinary Institute of America for lunch and it was delicious. We then went to a few different winerys, went on tours and had a wonderful afternoon. We even went to Beringer, my favorite :)

San Francisco

I went to Walnut Creek for work and Lance came with me to visit Rick. We went down on Friday and spent the day by ourselves, then spent Saturday in San Francisco. I have never been there and was amazed at how cold it was! Walnut Creek was really warm though and the Marriot Sport was amazing! We spent a lot of time by the pool and some time in the amazing gym.

On Sunday morning we met Rick and David on the Pier in San Fran. It was an absolutely beautiful morning and we sat and enjoyed the water and the sun. After a couple hours and meeting more of Rick's friends, we decided to go to Coit Tower. It is where you go up to the top of the tower and can see the entire city. We walked up there and I really enjoyed walking through the streets of San Francisco. We had a lot of fun in the tower and we all tried to get to the top windows for a better view...everyone thought we were nuts :)

After that we went and met some of Rick's friends Ray and Des. They have a beautiful home in downtown San Francisco and it was fun to visit with them for awhile. Then we went to a very cute little Italian resturant for dinner. It was a great day!
