The Carl!!!

Yeah! Monica, Josh, Mel, Carl, Chris and Suz were in town! They came in to go to Moab, then stayed at my dad's for the rest of the week. We went over on Friday and had a little party. I am not sure what this game even was, but it was just the girls and it was a blast! I love it when they are in town. There is never a dull moment when Carl is here!

While the girls were inside playing, Zach talked all the guys into an air soft gun war. Josh came in about 20 minutes into it with a huge welt right in the middle of his forehead. I didn't want to ask because I knew, but I had to...and of course, it was Lance who hit him. I wish I had a picture of that! So if anyone in the family has that, I need it to complete this post :)

Happy Birthday Tev!

Tevin really wanted a bike for his birthday. So, we went to Tsunami (his choice) for dinner, then came back for cake, ice cream and gifts with Pa. Since a bike is kind of a hard thing to wrap, we made him go on a scavenger hunt to find ALL of his gifts. It was really fun and he seemed to enjoy finding all of his gifts and finally the bike.

Happy Birthday Tevin!

Jax knew where it was the whole time...

We were so happy Pa came over to enjoy the festivities!

Merry Christmas!

We were all sleeping downstairs when we heard Santa upstairs. We would have been scared when we heard someone come in our house, but luckily he had bells and left a note ;)

Hannah Montana posters...they are both hanging in their rooms!

On the 9th day of Christmas...

Lance has been doing the 12 days of Christmas for me which I think is absolutely adorable. He has even thought of cool gifts that rhyme with the real song. I look forward every day to what the next day of Christmas will be!

Well for the 9th, I came home from running errands to a note on the garage door. It was starting me on a scavenger hunt. I was sent all over the house to strange locations and the last clue led me to a key. It was the key to the upstairs bathroom. I thought that was odd, but went a long with it. I opened the first door into the bathroom and couldn't find anything, then opened the second and there was a beautiful dress (two actually) hanging in the shower! There were also extremely cute black formal shoes, a satin shoulder wrap and black nylons. He said I should put it on and we'd go out.

So I put on the dress and it was absolutely gorgeous and fit perfect! He actually had bought two dresses because the one he loved was a size smaller than I wear in pants and stuff so he wasn't sure if it would fit. Well it did and I was so happy because I liked dress #1 much better too :)

We both got all dressed up and we went downtown. We went to a sushi restaurant we love on Market Street. Then he said he wanted to walk around a bit. I thought that was crazy because it was freezing! Well, we just walked one block, then into the Capitol Theatre! He had gotten amazing tickets to the Nutcracker!! I used to go to that every year so it was such a fun experience being there with him! And all night I could not get over how sweet he was to plan such and extravagant event with getting my entire outfit and everything. My family was shocked because they know how picky I am with clothes etc. I did learn that he called Biff a couple of times to ask some questions. How cute...and thanks for the help, Biff :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

I absolutely love this time of year because I love the Holidays and it's my birthday!

A couple of months ago we were watching Viva La Bam where Bam throws his fiancĂ©’s Uggs in the fire and I was almost as mad as she was! Lance said he was right to do it because Uggs are Ug. Those were his exact words. I have to agree...kind of. There are some ugly Uggs and there are some darling ones! I told Lance I loved Uggs and wanted some. It was kind of a joke, but who wouldn't want some cute Uggs?

So, apparently he does listen to me and before we went out on my Birthday, he let me open some of my gifts. One of them was a HUGE box that I could not figure out what it was. Well I opened it and it was...a picture of Uggs! He found some he liked and looked everywhere in Utah for them. He finally found them at one of the Nordstrom's and asked them to hold them. When he went to pick them up, they were the wrong color! He ended up ordering them online and I got them the very next day. They are darling and I LOVE them! Thank you babe!

This year for dinner we went to Melting Pot. I have never been there and it was really good! It was a lot of fun to celebrate my birthday there too because it is quite romantic :)

He made my birthday perfect!

Go UTES!!!

Who is the biggest Ute fan? Apparently I am :D

Every year my company does biggest fan day right before the big Utah/BYU game. This is my first year there so I though it sounded like a lot of fun and I would join in and decorate my cube. A couple things became a few things, then a ton of things! Thanks to all my family to their contribution to my decor! My cube was completely red and all lit up when everyone came in to work the next day. Let's just say I didn't get a lot done because people kept coming over to see everything. I think I surprised a lot of people with my level of dedication to the Utes! I am usually very professional at work :)

That's right, I have the sweatshirt, the Santa hat, the mug and of course, my shoes are red. That was many people's favorite part. Hence the picture showing them for the company meeting! Oh, and the screen saver on my computer was set to Utah football pictures.

It just happend to be my turn to bring birthday treats for my co-worker. I simply could not resist!

This is Chelsea. She was the biggest BYU fan. Since there are only 5 BYU fans and over 150 Utah fans at my office (I knew there was a reason I worked there!!), she came in to a very "Utah" decorated cube. She was not pleased! And props to Stephanie on the right for her Utah outfit. I love my office :)

The best part of the whole day was possibly the fountains right outside the office. They were RED!! No, I didn't do it, but I sure wish I would have thought of it...next year ;)

Halloween Fun!

Pa grew some great pumpkins in his yard and the kids had a blast carving them! Tevin is very artistic and takes time with detail. Tanner is very creative and makes quick work of a pumpkin!

I think their favorite part really was taking out all the pumpkin guts. Don't let their faces fool you, they love it!!

And yet another one for his dates! Tanner, you are the best!

On Halloween night we went to my dads and like years past, lit the fire and let the kids go out trick-or-treating. That's right, every year they bring the fire pit out front, light a huge fire and we all cook hot dogs and roast marshmallows. Then when the kids come by, they can warm up and get their candy. It's a lot of fun!

My dad and Karen are very impressive with their decorating. This is their front porch and I think it looks fabulous! They even had a fog machine going off for effect. Zach and Kenzie are sitting with the other cafe customers!

Lance dressed up as this very creepy person this year. My office lets people dress up also and it is really fun to see people's costumes, but I didn't do it this year. Maybe next year...
