Class Reunion

It was Lance's class reunion on July 31. It was at the Willow Creek Country Club and I was really excited to go because I have never been there...just hit golf balls onto the course from my dad's back yard!

Lance had quite a few buddies he hooked up with on Facebook before the reunion and a few of them flew into town for the occasion. They all made a week of it too by going golfing a few times and we had bbqs and get togethers every night. It was fun, but exhausting!!

We also had another BBQ after the reunion to go to...can't get enough of them in the summer!

Favorite Thing this Friday

Being surprised at work with a gorgeous boquet of roses and a card...out of the blue.

AND having the cutest, sweetest, most romantic husband a girl could ever wish for...and everyone at work knowing it :)

We are the Champions!

Lance and I played in another Doubles Tournament over Labor Day weekend and this one we WON! That's right, we took first place. We had some close games, but in the end took home the trophy. I was very proud of us :)


A few weeks prior we played in the "Dusk to Dawn" tournament and were one game off taking first. The games began at 6:00 pm and we finished our final game after 2:00 am! It was really a lot of fun though. I can't wait to play in another night tournament!

Peach Pie

My Mom used to make the best fresh Peach Pie...now I make the best fresh peach pie. And it's my favorite thing this week. Yummy!

The Yard

I realized I never posted the "after" pictures of the yard and garden. So, here they are!

(And for the record, the flower on top is not dead, just in between flowerings. But also for the record, it's tricky to grow things sideways! :))Edge of the garden:After: I think all the June rain helped the flowers a lot. We still have a bit to do in the yard, but for the most part we're done...and for that, I am very happy! My neighbor has a salon in his basement and has told both Lance and I on several occasions how many comments he gets on our yard from his clients. That makes it all worth it :)

Watermelon

Another reason I am sad summer is almost over, watermelon. I love watermelon. Almost too much. I am also sad I missed National Watermelon Day which was August 3rd. But, better late then never, right?! So my favorit thing this week is watermelon! I am really going to miss it during those cold winter months. YUM!!!

The Utes

You had to know today's favorite thing was going to be Utah football...and if you didn't, you don't know me very well!

Last night was the first game of the season and just being back was so great! So here's to a fun season of tailgating, games with friends and a fabulous season of Utah football. GO UTES!!!
