Engagement Pictures

Our wonderful photographer Carli took more engagement pictures last weekend and did a great job! We went to Garden Park ward at first and they only allow pictures by appointment now...good to know! So, we went down to Westminster. Lance and I both went to school there so we knew the campus was really cool and we could get some modern pictures.

Every time we have had pictures done with Carli it has been really windy and this was no exception. It was a nice day other than that though and she got some great pictures despite the wind! There were a whole lot with my hair in my face though so it's good she took tons! Here are just a few I thought were fun. Lance is just such a hottie :)

This is the one I chose to send with the invitations. Thanks baby!!

Such cool friends!

After the Crater certification early this week we went to our favorite Mexican resturant, El Doggie to celebrate. Rick, Stacy and one of the other girls in the class came. I have to say, we had a blast! Rick and Stacy are lots of fun to hang out with. Rick also mentioned he is a certified Minister and we just happen to be in need of one of those :) Well not really since we're alreay married, but it would be nice to have someone who knows what they're doing! I think they are going to regret ever meeting us :P

Scuba!

We are officially Scuba certified. And just in time. Lance really wanted to get certified for Jamaica and we procrastinated so we had to find a private instructor that could work with us on the times rather than a pre-arranged class. I am so glad we did though! We ended up certifying through Scuba Rick and he did a wonderful job. I have to admit the first time I went under the water and could breathe, I was a little freaked out. We went to class a couple nights for two weeks, then went to the Crater in Midway to certify. It was a blast going deep in the Crater and I learned that I am going to love to dive! Can't wait for Jamaica to see more than a fake aligator and wagon wheel :) Thanks Scuba Rick and Buddy Stacy!

Another great weekend with Unc Rick!

I love it when Unc Rick is in town! We always have so much fun!

On Saturday night we went to Tepanyaki with Cera and her new boyfriend. They were being so crazy, but it made the wait go by a whole lot quicker!

On Sunday just the three of us went to Squatters for Brunch. It was an unusually warm day so we stayed at Squatters on the patio for quite a while, then walked around downtown for a bit. We then went to Gateway to eat at Z Tejas. They are the only place in Utah I know that has the X-Rated Fusion. That sounds really bad, but it's not. It's mine and Lance's favorite and anyone we introduce it to, loves it!! Way to go Z Tejas!

Snow, snow and more snow...

I am really tired of the snow, but Tevin made good use of the huge mound we have next to the driveway!

While Lance was shoveling the snow, the kids were making armor and sword fighting. I have to give them props for their creativity!

Hannah and I just laughed at them. And she put things on her head...okay, maybe that was me :)

All you need is Love

I have to start by saying Happy Valentine's Day to my one and only true love. I cannot tell you how much I love spending holidays with him, but especially romantic ones. He is so sweet and I love him!

So this Valentine's Day we had the kids again and after last year's fiasco, I suggested we just stay home this year. For those of you who don't know the story it included a very romantic sushi dinner with fish eggs popping and puke. Not good. If you'd like to know more, just let me know!

We thought it would be fun to make pizzas. That way, we could all spend time together making dinner and no one could complain they didn't like something :) Tevin's friend Kaden was over who is the sweetest, most polite kid ever so it was nice having him there.

We stayed in the kitchen while the kids "created" in the dining room!

This was a very serious operation.....

How cool can you really look with pink bags with hearts on them?!

The Carl!!!

Yeah! Monica, Josh, Mel, Carl, Chris and Suz were in town! They came in to go to Moab, then stayed at my dad's for the rest of the week. We went over on Friday and had a little party. I am not sure what this game even was, but it was just the girls and it was a blast! I love it when they are in town. There is never a dull moment when Carl is here!

While the girls were inside playing, Zach talked all the guys into an air soft gun war. Josh came in about 20 minutes into it with a huge welt right in the middle of his forehead. I didn't want to ask because I knew, but I had to...and of course, it was Lance who hit him. I wish I had a picture of that! So if anyone in the family has that, I need it to complete this post :)
