JAX!

Awhile ago Tanner was saying he wanted a cat for his birthday. Lance was asking what I thought of the idea and although I like cats, I wasn't too thrilled with it. We also decided it probably wouldn't be a good idea to do as a gift because Tanner would think it was only his, yet not take care of it!

Well, a little over a month after his birthday Lance had a friend at work who had rescued a litter of kittens that was abandoned. They needed to give a couple of them away so Lance sent me a picture asking if I was interested. That was the beginning of the end. I saw the picture and said yes immediately! We picked him up just before he was 5 weeks old. He was so tiny and cute and I immediately fell in love with him! Because he was so young, we had to bottle feed him with a mixure of kitten formula and baby rice cereal. He loved to eat, but was a bit hard to feed because he was so excited. We all had a fun time with it though!

He would not let go of the bottle for anything!
He really liked to sleep and cuddle up to us.

We kept him in the "Worlds Softest Socks" because he loved to be bundled up.

My babies!

Viva Las Vegas!

It was Sheila's birthday so we went down to Vegas with her and Brig. We stayed at Hooters and it was a really cool hotel! The pool is very nice and it was hot so we needed it!

We got tickets to see the Cirque Du Soleil show called Zumanity so we did that the first night. We had great seats and it was a really good show! The next night we went and saw Steve Wyrick who is a magician. He was really good also. And the highlight was that I got called up on stage for a trick! I am in the middle of the row in the middle of the theatre and he picks me. It was a little embarrassing, but fun. He did some sort of card trick and it was, well, magical!

Ya know how they always take your pictures at those kinds of things and then they try to sell them to you for a small fortune at the end? Well they did that at the magic show and we were not going to be suckered into buying it, then we saw it and just had to. It looks like we dragged Brig kicking and screaming there. At least we were having fun :) Sorry Brig!

Oh, and that plane behind us really did appear out of mid air at the end...amazing!

Dinner at Marinos. Go Fins!!

This guy was in the show...I think ;)

Happy Birthday!

Believe it or not, my dad and future husband have the same birthday. I know, destiny. This year they fell on a Saturday so we decided to spend the day on the boat at the lake. We went to Jordanelle with the whole family. We played on the boat, on the beach and just had a great time!

We went home, got all cleaned up and went to Tsunami with Lance's dad. It was so good! We love Sushi and especially Tsunami. After that, I had a huge cake that we took to my dad's and the whole family was there to eat cake and open presents. It was a long, but very fun day!

I hope you had wonderful days! I love you both!

Hannah

She is just so cute, I had to post some pics. I was watching her the other day and Biff brought her all dressed in the dress I gave her with her bracelets and bow. She knows I am a total sucker for that stuff. I love it!!

This was swimming at Grandpas! Talk about a water baby, she loves it!

Best Dads in the world!

I don't know how it happened, but I was raised by the absolute best father and so was Lance. Somehow we got the best fathers on the planet so it was destiny that we would meet! And because of Lance's great father and mother, he has become the best father. I have never seen a father like Lance. He would spend every moment of his life with his kids if he could. He loves them so much and it really is very cute.

So happy Fathers Day to Lance, my dad and Pa!

This is the breakfast we served Lance in bed! Then we all went out on the patio, ate breakfast and opened gifts.

A sad, sad tale....

I warn you, this is very, very sad...Maisey's cute little ducklings did not make it till morning. Before I went to work the morning after they hatched, I went out and there was nothing in the nest. I had read (boy, that IS annoying!) that they immediately can walk and will follow their mother for food during the day and return to the nest at night. So, I wasn't too worried; turns out I should have been. Lance called me later and said him and the boys had gone looking around the yard for them before they went to school and found the dead ducklings. Something must have gotten them as they ventured out. Poor little things!

But fear not, I told my mom the story and a few days later she comes to visit with Sam and Annie. Sam has a box and is beyond excited. He almost drops it about 4 times on the way from the car to the door. I look inside and see two baby ducks! My mom had bought us ducks! They were so adorable and SO loud! They would just walk around aimlessly and chirp. We named them Maisey 2 and Quackers.

We took a lot of video of them when they were tiny because they were seriously hilarious so the only pics are of them when they are big. They are still darn cute though!
