They Just Grow Up Too Darn Fast...

It seems like just yesterday Tevin, now twelve years old, thought girls had fleas. Today we were driving in the car and Tevin told me how excited he was about an upcoming field trip to the Middle School which he'll be attending next year. My first thought was wow, that's right... he'll be graduating from elementary, where has the time gone, but his next statement really made me laugh and blew my mind all at the same time. I asked why he was so excited to go on a fieldtrip to the middle school, and with a sly grin he stated, "Because dad, the girls in Middle School are perrrrfect!". As if that wasn't enough he followed that up with, "And the girls in High School are even better."

My oh my, what happened to my sweet little baby boy that just wanted to play with insects and play catch with his old man?

At least Tanner, age ten, brought back some sense of normalcy. When I asked him if he liked the girls in his class he stated, "No, but there are a bunch that like me."

Florida

Two weeks ago, we woke up really early Saturday morning to board a plane and enjoy our first class seats all the way to sunny Floriday for our cruise...ahhh, that is the life!

When we got to Florida, we began texting Brig who got in the night before. After a few texts back and forth, we find that he and Sheila are in the hospital. What?!? It all started the night before when they boarded the plane to enjoy their first class seats, but didn't really get the chance to. Just a little bit into the flight, Sheila gets a horrible pain in her stomach and starts throwing up. The flight attendants move her to the jump seat to be more comfortable and she continues to throw up and is doubled over in pain. They actually sped up the plan for her. How cool is that?! So, when they land in Florida, there is an ambulance and paramedics waiting on the tarmac. They rush on the plane and take her off on a gurney. Seriously, how many people can say they have been on the airport tarmac? So cool! Anyway, she goes to the hospital in Ft. Lauderdale and has 2 kidney stones. We went and saw her when we got there and she was in good spirits, but still had the darn stones!

While she was waiting for them to pass, Lance, Brig and I went to see Dolphin's Stadium!!! Notice the shirt. From Worst to First baby!!!

After the stadium we met up with Dan and Lori at this street right on the beach where they have a bunch of bars, restaurants and shops. We ate at this yummy restaurant outside and had a great time. Of course we thought about poor Sheila back at the hospital with her cranberry juice the whole time :)

There's no "U" in Sugar!!

Actually there really is, but I adamantly told Lance and Sarah that when I was describing the shirt I wanted for the Sugar Bowl and is in the picture below. I was trying to figure out which word had the Utah drum and feather logo in it. I knew the letter was an "O" so when they told me it was in Sugar, I was sure it wasn't. Too bad my statement to them was just pure dumb :)
The moral of this story is...GO UTES!!!

Is there really anything else to say?! The Utes worked Alabama! Those first 3 posessions were unbelievable. I knew they had it in them. Oh how I wish I could have been in New Orleans to shut those Bama fans up!! Brig, Sheila and G-Claud were there representing us...as well as Tony, Cleone and their family. We were at Dan and Lori's which I am sure was equally fun :)
